Downtown's "new favorite" offers "imaginative Vegetarian" fare (much of it culled from "their own garden") that "makes meat and spuds folks forget they've eaten veggie"; this lunch-only place is also liked for its "funky, friendly" "coffeehouse feel" and modest prices, so "get there early" or face a "long wait"; the attached natural foods market is "delightful."

I would like like to inform you of a vegetarian restaurant that recently opened in Topeka, Kansas. It is called Tallgrass Bakery & Cafe. The address is 2701 SW 17th street Topeka, KS and the phone number is 785-357-1003 and the hours are 7am to 3pm. My wife and I have eaten there once so far and everything was delicious. I highly recommend the potato leek soup. They have a large selection of breads and offer a variety of sandwiches and salads. The majority of the breads and produce are organic. Most items can be made vegan upon request. If you are ever in Topeka I recommend trying this place.
