HOW TO CURE ACNE
WITHOUT TOXIC CHEMICALS
OR PILLS

Acne is a skin condition that affects over 90% of the world’s population at one time or another. Acne recognizes no barriers; anyone can be afflicted by it regardless of their economic standing, race, religion, sex or age! And while acne is not a health hazard, it can wreak havoc on a person’s self esteem and their social life.

Many people think that they need medication, prescription or otherwise, to treat their acne. That misconception fuels an industry that rakes in billions for makers of acne solutions, most of which are unnecessary and even unhealthy. It was recently discovered that one popular prescription for acne caused life-threatening conditions such as IBS, Krohn’s disease and other crippling conditions!

Most over the counter and prescription acne treatments tout the benefits of “drying up” the pores in your face and body that produce the oils that clog the pores and produce the infections that we call acne or “pimples”. Using these remedies aggravates the condition instead of curing it. By drying out your natural oils you are prompting your system to go into oil production overdrive in an attempt to protect the integrity of your skin and keep it moist. You throw your body into an endless cycle of exaggerated oil production, drying, more oil production until your entire system is thrown out of whack.

Instead, keeping your face clean with natural soap (no synthetic fragrances or dyes, no animal fat) and water will balance your system and keep oil production to a natural level as well as cleansing your pores. Finishing your cleansing with cool water will temporarily tighten up the pores and protect them from dirt and pollutants. Hair should be kept away from the face because wherever it touches, it deposits its own natural oils in your pores.

Changing your diet is often one's most powerful weapon against acne. Green foods such as spinach, basil, celery, broccoli and green beans detoxify and alkalize your system. Acidic foods like tomatoes and tomato sauce, meat, grains, coffee, citrus fruits and even distilled water will encourage your body to produce more oil which can clog your pores. Red meat in itself is not harmful but the sodium nitrate used to make it appear red and fresh is a carcinogenic (cancer causing) as well as something that acidifies your system.

Avoiding refined sugars such as candy and sodas will not only make your body healthier but will also reduce the frequency and severity of acne outbreaks. Artificial oils such as trans fats, shortening and hydrogenated oils can aggravate acne by encouraging your body to produce more natural oils to “sweat out” the harmful oils. Of course, drinking plenty of water and getting enough sleep every night is your best weapon against acne. A healthy, balanced body produces little or no acne.

By treating your acne naturally you actually get better results than buying something over the counter or getting a prescription for harsh chemicals from a doctor. Most acne solutions actually make the condition worse, trapping you in an endless cycle of treatment, improvement then worsening acne. Natural topical treatments can improve your skin however be sure to purchase topical treatments without any synthetic or toxic ingredients (such as benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid) and be sure it includes organic manuka honey, which is active and kills bacteria that can cause acne as accidently touching your face or environmental contaminates such as air pollution can still cause breakouts even if you're doing everything else perfectly.
