EASIER, SAFER HOME FLOOR CARE
WITH A MICROFIBER MOP
Mopping in the home is a chore. You need a bucket, chemical cleaning solutions, and a heavy mop that must be constantly rinsed and wrung out. After mopping, you must keep everyone off of the floor while it dries to avoid slips and falls. If you simply want to dust the floor, you need an entirely separate mop.
Most wet mops used in the home are made of foam, which harbors bacteria. Standard mop foam does not pick up and hold onto dirt, grime, dust, residue and bacteria. It simply pushes it around on your floor.
About Microfiber
Microfiber cleaning products have been popular in Europe for over 20 years and are quickly catching on in the U.S. Micro-fibers are 10 times smaller than the human hair and are chemically split, which gives them a magnetic-like quality that instantly attracts dirt and dust. Because micro-fibers are much smaller than cotton and foam, they can get into surface pores and crevices that cotton and foam can't penetrate.
Microfibers are ultra absorbent, able to absorb up to 7 times their weight in moisture. The split fibers suck up dirt and moisture that other materials only move around on the floor. Studies have shown that microfiber alone (without any chemicals) picks up significant amounts of harmful bacteria.
The Microfiber Mop
Microfiber mops clean faster and more effectively than traditional mopping methods. They remove bacteria without dangerous cleaning chemicals, and their absorbency greatly reduces the chances of slips and falls.
Most microfiber mopping systems consist of a flat mop head, a telescoping pole, and microfiber mop pads for wet mopping and dust mopping. By using this all-in-one system you will no longer need separate mops for wet mopping and dusting, minimizing storage space and saving you money.
For wet mopping, lightly dampen the mop pad with water under the faucet and place it on the mop head. No chemical cleaning solutions are needed. When the pad gets soiled, simply remove it, rinse it, wring it out and it is ready to be used again. For dust mopping, apply the dust pad to the mop head and begin dusting. It will easily pick up dust bunnies, pet hair, dirt, etc.
Quality microfiber pads can be washed and dried in standard household washers/dryers, and will last over 300 washings. To maintain the quality of your microfiber mop pad, don't use bleach or fabric softener, which will break down the fibers. Don't wash it with other cotton products because the microfiber will pick up the cotton lint.
