HOW DO OUTDOOR
SOLAR LED LIGHTS WORK?
Solar lights are designed to light up when the sun goes down. They must be installed in an area that receives at least 4 to 6 hours of sunlight for optimum charging. During the day, the sun shines onto the solar panel, powering the flow of the sun’s energy through the circuitry to charge the interior battery. Most solar lights have an On/Off switch, either on the exterior of the light close to the Solar Panel, or on the inside of the fixture head, accessible by removing the screws. When you receive the lights, find the On/Off switch and turn it ON in a dark room to test the lights to make sure they come on before you install them. Leave the switch in the ON position, install them on your wall, in your yard or garden, and your lights will come on automatically at night.
The exterior of the light fixture features the solar panel that draws energy from the sun to light your solar fixture at night. Thanks to improved Technology, most solar panels will now charge the battery, at least partially, even on cloudy days. You may not receive a full night of light, but you will receive some hours of lighting.
A light sensor is built into the fixture, generally located in the solar panel, which detects exterior light conditions. When dusk arrives, the sensor turns the light on. When dawn arrives, or when the stored energy in the battery is depleted, the light will go off.
The interior of the fixture head holds the circuitry, LED Bulb(s) and rechargeable Battery(s). The Circuitry connects the solar panel, battery and LED bulbs to power the light at night. The rechargeable batteries will store energy each day, and deplete the stored energy each night. Once the batteries have run their course day after day, they must be replaced. The time frame can run from 1 year to 3 years before you must replace them. The LED bulbs last up to 100,000 hours, and are not replaceable once they do burn out.
`The mystery of solar lighting is now solved! They are easy to understand and need no electrical wiring to work. You will enjoy your eco-friendly Outdoor Solar LED Lights for years!
