The menu is innovative and the food isexcellent. There is also a fresh juice bar that is quite good. You can eatin or take out and they do catering. They serve soups, salads, snacks &starters, wraps, sandwiches and veggie burgers (the type changes daily). And, they have a limited children's menu. My husband and I had a difficulttime choosing, so we ordered a starter and split two sandwiches. We had thespinach artichoke heart dip platter, southwestern veggie burger ($6.50) andthe portabella sandwich ($6.75). The sandwiches came with tortilla chipsand salad. The portabella was served on a yummy onion bun. I didn't thinkit got any better than the onion bun, but when I bit into the southwesterveggie burger, my taste buds were overjoyed by all the wonderful flavors, not the least of which was the multi-grain bread. We were so impressed withthe multi-grain bread that we talked the owner into selling us a loaf totake home! And, yes we had the juice bar special of the day. I honestlydon't remember all the fruits/vegetables that were incorporated but it waswonderful as well. The people next to us had a salad that was huge andlooked wonderful! Everything was absolutely wonderful! I have been to all the vegetarianrestaurants in Connecticut listed on your web-site and this one is the bestby far. My husband, who is not a vegetarian was also raving. We willdefinitely return over and over again to try other things on the menu, although it will be very tempting to have the southwestern veggie burger andportabella all over again! |
